Job summary:          


The Dispute Service Limited (TDS) is looking to recruit a bright and enthusiastic Report and Data Analyst to work on our “Cloud” based applications.  This is an opportunity to join an online digital company based in Hemel Hempstead, that is a commercially focused not for profit organisation.


The Report and Data Analyst will be responsible for developing and analysing reports in Salesforce and Tableau CRM and assisting with the data migration from legacy systems to Salesforce.


The analyst role will provide day-to-day reporting support and assistance to colleagues. They will capture reporting requirements and develop more complex reports and dashboards. They will require a knowledge of the databases, schemas, structure query language and statistical methods to extract and present data. They will prepare reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.


All colleagues within the organisation will be trained on how to run reports on Salesforce. However, we will embed a reporting champion in each directorate to assist with reporting and provide data insight. The role of the Report and Data Analyst will be to help train these reporting champions and support them in their roles.


We are currently migrating our legacy systems to Salesforce and therefore, the role will support the data migration between systems. This will involve data mapping and validating the migrated data. In addition, they will be required to perform analysis on the data sets to assess quality and support activities to improve data quality.


You will be initially guided in undertaking and performing these tasks, developing your technical and problem-solving abilities. Training and support will be given to the right candidate.


No job description can cover every issue that might arise and the post holder is expected to carry out other duties from time to time, broadly consistent with those listed below.


• Work with the business to capture and document reporting and dashboard requirements.
• Create new requested reports and dashboards or modify existing in Salesforce or Tableau.
• Work with appropriate parties to ensure all reports and dashboards are tested and working correctly.
• Identify areas where reporting solutions can improve and implement those improvements.
• Perform analysis on incorrect report output to determine the issue.
• Assist with establishing a group of reporting champions in each directorate.
• Provide hands on reporting training to small groups of business users including reporting champions.
• Answer end user’s questions and provide one-on-one training on reports and reporting as needed.
• Support and validate the migration of data from our legacy systems to Salesforce ensuring data accuracy.
• Developing and maintaining databases, data systems – reorganising data in a readable format.
• Performing analysis to assess quality and meaning of data and support activities to improve data quality.
• Using statistical tools to identify, analyse, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets that could be helpful for the diagnosis and prediction.
• Preparing reports for the management stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.
• To prepare, or assist in the preparation, of change request documents in line with TDS’ ISO 27001 procedures.

Required Skill Set

• Ability to work with stakeholders from different departments.
• Ability to capture and document requirements.
• Ability to interpret and distil complex information and data and make recommendations.
• Strong quantitative background with a thorough understanding of Excel, reporting formats and data entry.
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve issues with reports and questions related to reporting.
• Strong mathematical skills to help collect, measure, organise and analyse data.
• Detail oriented, self-motivated with ability to work independently, efficient, and organised.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and proven ability to work successfully in a team.

Desirable experience

• Knowledge of SQL query writing beneficial including the ability to create stored procedures, design views.
• Knowledge of database design development, data models, techniques for data mining, and segmentation.
• Knowledge of data manipulation and analysis.


• Must be educated to degree level in Maths/Statistics or equivalent.
